    Philosophy of Education:

               Inspire to Aspire!

Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs and habits;  methods include storytelling, discussion, teaching, training and directed research.

Knowledge is facts, information and skills acquired by a person through experience or education;  the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.

Wisdom is the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight.

As a movement professional, I believe that it is my responsibility to:

  1. facilitate learning through the most effective means for the given person, student, group or community AND

  2. exhibit the skills, values, beliefs and habits that 'inspire' inquiry and subsequent life course decisions

To teach is to disperse information.

To teach and inspire inquiry and passion is mentoring and leading.

This is my approach to education:  teach, inspire and coach!  Live it to mentor it!  Inspire to aspire!

My passion lies in translation, analyzing and challenging the evidence-based science to practice-based application.  This is the art of programming grounded in common sense, and the ability to uncover 'what makes someone tick';  to personalize and customize a process, that inspires the individual to embark on a life-time journey of active aging within a healthy, engaged and purpose-filled lifestyle.

This passion is captured via a dynamic delivery, real-life experiences and a never-ending desire to keep learning.  Daily I learn something new by reading, observing, training, living, working or playing. I’ll hang it up, if I stop learning or lose the desire.
